Wicked sweet Subies doing wicked good deeds in New England communities
Code of Conduct
Wicked Subies strives to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive environment, both online an in person for our members, family, friends, guests and supporters.
Please observe our Code of Conduct to ensure we all have a wicked good time.
Wicked Subies is a different kind of car club. Not only do we all own and love Subarus, but we also support and strive to live the ideals set forth by the Subaru brand. We pride ourselves on being friendly, understanding, empathetic, supportive, and accepting. Our hope is that we learn from each other, get to know one another, and foster growth, knowledge and support for each other and the communities we live in.

-
We will not tolerate language or actions that belittle, harass, or cause social exclusion. Bigotry of any kind, including but not limited to, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, will not be tolerated and will result in a mute or ban depending on severity.
-
Part of what makes us unique is that we are a diverse group made up of different builds, interests, backgrounds, abilities, knowledge, and budgets. Please remember, everyone starts somewhere. If you have nothing helpful to offer, or can’t convey constructive criticism in a polite way, please keep your comments to yourself.
-
We aspire to be respectful and nonjudgmental. Please refrain from disrespecting our group/community and apply the same rules to others – do not defame other groups/communities.
-
Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in/with the group should stay in the group.
-
No name calling. This should be self-explanatory. Do not use exclusionary language or make comments that will cause offense.
-
No physical or verbal harassment of any type.
-
Please refrain from posting or commenting about: politics, religion, or personal topics. Do not post/share nude or suggestive photos.
-
Unless permitted by admins, no crowdfunding, fundraising, Go Fund Me, etc.
-
No posting/commenting about deleted posts or comments that violate any of the these rules.
-
Our online pages are not for selling or sourcing. Please do not post anything for sale, trade or want-to-buy. There are many other sites that you can sell or source items on.
-
We’ve all done it; said something reactionary, rude, or unnecessary that has resulted in a ruckus in comments. While we hope you work to avoid this, if you do say something, and someone lets you know that they feel hurt by your words, please remember that you don't get to tell them otherwise. We are here to build each other up, do good and have fun! Don't just be nice; be kind.
-
Please respect the admins and their decisions – they are here to preserve the spirit of the community. Admins have the authority to delete posts or comments without explanation and can ban or assign mute time.
-
You are expected to conduct yourself in a mature, respectful, and responsible manner in public when you are with the group or at any event where you can be connected to the group or identified as a group member.
-
We are representatives of the group and the Subaru brand in public; therefore, we do not endorse events that may encourage unsafe driving, illegal practices, and/or speeding where it is not permitted. We expect all traffic laws to be obeyed at events and while on group cruises. Any driving or behavior that puts you or other drivers/attendees in danger will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the group.
-
Please refrain from sharing posts without descriptions on our group pages. If you need help creating a respectful description, please ask for assistance.
-
If you have an issue with a post, please simply comment @admin and we will be notified and address the situation. Reporting to Facebook doesn’t help the group.
-
We strive to be an inclusive group and use the words team and family because we care for and look out for one another; however, this does not mean that there won’t be moments of discontent. If such situations should arise, we expect them to be handled in a mature manner. The admins are available to help settle disputes, if needed. Otherwise, we expect chats, comments, and meets to remain drama-free.
